The award is given by the General Grand Council of Cryptic Masons, International to one who has distinguished himself/herself in leadership with Missouri DeMolay, Jobs Daughters, Rainbow for Girls, or any other youth organization.

It is the responsibility of all Companions to make nominations to the Grand Master.  The Grand Master may accept this nomination, or, if no nomination is received, make award to the Companion of his choice.
